Radiator fan
As my new radiator design has less surface area I decided I’d need a fan to cool it, however the position of it made it difficult to use any regular PC fan. Because of this I decided to make my own Crossflow fan. I started off by dissembling a standard PC fan to provide the motor, magnet, and bearings. I then used a lathe and milling machine to create various parts for my homemade fan:

Once that was complete I cast a curved clear resin panel to protect the fan as well as direct the airflow, which is crucial in order to get a Crossflow fan to function:

The panel covering the radiator was made by cutting a sheet of 0.5mm aluminium with scissors. In order to strengthen the thin aluminium I made a fiberglass backing, using a wooden mould and some thin fiberglass cloth. Clear acrylic was also set in with the fibreglass as viewing windows:

I then polished the aluminium panel in straight lines to create a shiny brushed finish:
